The Hellenic Organization for Company Sport & Health (HOCSH) is proud to be hosting the 46th Ordinary Congress of the International Workers and Amateurs in Sports Confederation (CSIT), which is currently taking place in Loutraki, Greece.
The event is co-organized with the Municipality of Loutraki-Perachora-Agioi Theodoroi, with the support of the Region of Peloponnese and the Loutraki Tourism Organization (Visit Loutraki), and is sponsored by Aegean Airlines. The congress began on October 14, 2024, and will continue until October 20, 2024. in collaboration with the Municipality of Loutraki-Perachora-Agioi Theodoroi.
On October 17, the Sports for All Forum officially kicked off with the demonstration of catch n serve ball discipline, moderated by CSIT Press Officer Raimund Fabi. The ceremony featured welcoming addresses from several distinguished figures, including:
- Georgios Gkionis, Mayor of the Municipality of Loutraki-Perachora-Agii Theodoroi
- Bruno Molea, President of CSIT
- Nikos Kerassovitis, President of HOCSH
- Luciano Di Fonzo, Deputy Head of the Sport Unit at the European Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA)
Key Presentations and Activities
Several important presentations and workshops are currently being held, including:
- Energy Efficiency in Swimming Pools: A case study on Loutraki’s Municipal Swimming Pool.
- CSIT Environmental Policies: The introduction of GREENACA (EU co-funded project) , aimed at promoting environmental skills in grassroots sports organizations.
- Youth Development through Sports (EU co-funded project): Insights from the YouCAMP project, which focuses on advancing youth participation and leadership in sports.
- Coach Skills Development: A presentation on the PLAYS project, which enhances the practical learning and development of coaching skills for young athletes.
A major focus of the congress is the preparation for the upcoming CSIT World Sports Games (WSG) Loutraki 2025, set to take place in June 2025. The event will be co-organized by the Municipality of Loutraki-Perachora-Ag. Theodoroi, in cooperation with the Region of Peloponnese, the Municipalities of Corinth and Velo-Vocha and several sport federations.
The WSG will take place across the cities of Loutraki, Perachora, Agioi Theodoroi, Lecheo, Velo, and Vocha from June 3rd to 8th, 2025.
The Hellenic Organization for Company Sports & Health is excited to welcome the Games and several thousand amateur athletes and participants from around the globe, promoting workplace sports and inclusion.
They will come together to practice and compete in various sports and activities in an exceptional atmosphere and optimal conditions.
The organization of the congress and the upcoming World Sports Games highlights Loutraki as an important hub for sports tourism on the global stage.
